This weekend is kicking my butt!
Here’s one of those teeny tiny punks to kick yours
another angry lady for you on this fine thursday evening
I saw my preteen sister last week, and her little eyeliner-covered face just fueled my “wanna draw angry lil girls all the time” fire.
I made a little comic for the Punked! Zine project! It’s my first multi-page comic in a long while, but I had a really good time putting it together.
There was a lot of soul searching, taco craving, and old photo scavenging involved in the process. I know I can’t be the first lil’ badass to realize later in life how utterly benign her teenage rebellions were.
A little something from an in-progress side project I may or may not make the deadline on. Been drawing from pictures of my old high school friends for this one!
We were not terribly tuff, I’m afraid- we just liked to look it.

I put together a small video from footage of my senior project, Hyperzoology.
Hyperzoology was an instillation in Carnegie Mellon School of Art’s 2012 Senior Exhibition at the Miller Gallery in Pittsburgh, PA.
Visitors were assaulted by a loud, heavy, high pitched breathing; two creatures, a tiger and a sambar, hyperventilate continuously in a corner. The creatures periodically experience anxiety attacks, momentarily breaking the pattern of mutual distress, before settling back into synchronized exhaustion.
Animations were hand drawn in Photoshop before being assembled in After Effects. The two loops were run off of one Mac Mini, onto two HD projectors suspended from the ceiling.

Tara was telling me something or other about how the people who draw sparkledogs on deviantart get into fights a lot.
And this happened.
I didn’t know/don’t know anything really about sparkledogs… I just kind of imagined them as skittle-colored pooches with scene hair.
